Thursday Morning Ramblings

- My new book, an adult contemporary romance, is slated to release early January 2013, with a chance of it releasing earlier. It’s called Fated and if you liked Love Left Behind, it’ll be right up your alley. The hero, Caden Riley, is hot, but in a different way than Jackson Reynard. Plus, I really love the heroine, Lauren Sloan. I’ll post the cover and description and all that junk when it’s ready.

- I’m knee-deep in the third and final installment of the Shadow Series right now, and boy these waters are treacherous! My own heart has raced a few times, and that’s with me knowing what’s going to happen! I still don’t have an exact release date except early 2013, but I’m pushing, pushing, pushing to get it done as soon as possible.

- If you’ve read some of my posts here, you’ll realize that I’m obsessed with food. My latest obsession, after my trip to New Orleans, is trying to recreate the muffaletta. The one at Central Grocery was a doozy, and I’m up to my elbows in olive salad as I try to perfect my recipe to mimic theirs.

- Speaking about food, Thanksgiving is right around the corner! It’s my #1 favorite holiday. Turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing…here I come!

Hurricane Sandy…That B-

Hello out there! I hope everyone who was affected by Hurricane Sandy is safe! She hit us pretty hard, but we’re all okay. We’re still without power and the internet, which has basically made me into a crazy person since I hate not being connected. That, plus the tree currently making itself at home on my roof, has made the past few days a little trying. But we’re lucky compared to so many others, so I’m grateful that those are our only problems.

Thanks for everyone’s comments/messages these past few days. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to respond, but it’s been a hassle trying to find a wifi signal to grab onto (you should see the Starbucks in the town next to me…it’s been overrun by squatters). Thanks to the good people at Lowe’s who have unknowingly lent me their wifi signal for a few moments.

I’ll respond to everyone’s messages once I return to the twenty-first century. For anyone who was in the path of Hurricane Sandy, I hope you’re safe and well.

P.S. I really should have stocked up on vodka and potato chips.
